[특보 SR] UN 사생활자유 특보: 군과 성정체성 SR on Privacy Annual Report: military and gender identities (2019)

UN 사생활의 자유 특보는 2019년 7월 공식 방한하여 한국의 사생활의 자유의 상황을 시찰하였으며 방문 종료일에 입장문을 발표한 바 있습니다. 이런 일련의 활동을 바탕으로 2019년도 연례보고서에는 다음과 같이 군내 사생활의 비밀과 자유에 대한 권고를 전달하였습니다.

Official visits were carried out in Argentina in May 2019 and the Republic of South Korea in July 2019. The Special Rapporteur released preliminary findings at their conclusion. After a series of such activities, the Mandate submitted 2019 annual report to the Human Rights Council, delivering recommendations regarding the right to privacy in the military as stated below.

(p) LGBTQI 개인 중 군 복무를 하는 사람들을 위한 절차를 구상하고 시행하여 그들의 성 정체성을 인정하고, 군 복무를 허용하며 그들을 차별과 폭력으로부터 보호하라.
